Previously known as Emmaus Projects, we were established 20 years ago, and have grown steadily. We now have fourteen separate services. You can read about what we do in this leaflet.
Our mission
To empower homeless people and those facing
adversity to achieve their full potential.
Our vision
To become a leading organisation which sets a
standard for excellence and continually
develops to meet the needs of homeless

Salesian College Sleepout raises over £3,000
Not to be outdone by their neighbours up the road, Salesian College students slept out one night in December and raised a fantastic sum for Step by Step - a brilliant effort, thank you. Read the story.
Farnborough Sixth Form College does it again - magnificently!
Following the College's tremendous effort in raising £5,000 for us with their 2010 Sleepout, we could only hope that they might match that total in 2011. In fact, they collected a staggering £8,000 for us! Our thanks to everyone who took part. Read the full story.
First Christmas Concert a great success
We held our first concert on December 8th, featuring Christmas music from Vivace Cantamus and Flute Salad. It was a great success: the audience had a great time and we raised £1,500 for our training services. We are very grateful to our supporters: Aldershot Town Supporters Trust, Sainsbury's and especially to LBW Lettings, who were the event's sponsor. Read more...
Burns Night
Our first Burns Night in 2011 was a huge success. So much so that tickets for our upcoming event went like hot cakes and we are already completely sold out! We are really sorry if you were looking forward to coming. But don't worry, we hope to run the event again in 2013. If you've got a ticket, whet your appetite with a look at our press release and also check out the fabulous lots in our two auctions.
ASICS Fleet Half Marathon - we reached our runner target!
Entries to this well-regarded run have now closed and we're delighted to say that 30 people have volunteered to run for us, for which we are very grateful. We wish them all the best as they get into training for the event. We hope to post more news and hints on how to get lots of sponsorship on our Fleet Half-Marathon web page, so do check it out from time to time.

Our latest newsletter is now available for you to read, and it's full of interesting news and inspiring stories from our clients. Do take a few minutes to read through it. Please have a look at the back page, where there is a list of the items we need to make Christmas at Step by Step special for our clients. If you or your organisation can help, we'd be very grateful.
Our Annual Review is also available for a summary of what happened at Step by Step for the year up to April 2011.
Our new building
Although we moved in sic months ago, you might like to find out more about our new building. Read the background, which explains why we needed new premises; read about the project team that managed the whole process, and the organisations that funded it. Have a go at one of our 'fun'draising events...
We want to put the 'fun' back into fundraising and we've got a couple of great ideas for you:
Ever thought about doing a parachute jump? Of course you have! We've just made it easier for you to help us and treat yourself to a unique experience - and all at no cost.
Read our press release about it all...
Or what about a sponsored Sleepout? Great for all ages from 16 upwards (or younger in some circumstances).
Work experience - can you help?
Our Employment & Education project includes a period of work experience. We're looking for organisations who are prepared to take on a young person for a couple of weeks. We will work very closely with you to ensure that the experience is rewarding for your company and the young person. If you think you can help, please contact Charlotte Burley on email or call 01252 346116.
