Accommodation Services
Within our Accommodation Services the core of our work is to empower young people by giving them the support and encouragement necessary to enable them to take control of their lives and make positive decisions, furthering them along the road to independence.
If you are a young person in need of emergency accommodation, please click here.
We offer four stages of accommodation which provide a structured and progressive path towards independence:
As young people move on from these stages we provide an additional service:
- Tenancy Support - Support for those moving from our accommodation projects.
Each stage offers different levels of supervision and independence designed to enable the young person to develop their levels of independence as they move through the projects.
In addition we also run Supportive Lodgings Schemes, which run along similar lines to foster care and are for young people aged 16 or over who are leaving local authority care.
Our Accommodation Services provide much more than the basic needs of food and shelter.
They provide:-
- A stable, safe and secure environment
- Support and guidance from staff
- Peer support
Each young person who comes into our Accommodation Services is treated as an individual and is offered ongoing support and guidance. They are expected to respect his/herself, as well as fellow residents and staff, and to attend our Training and Development Projects, attend school or college, or be in employment.
