Accommodation Services
Within our Accommodation Services the core of our work is to empower young people by giving them the support and encouragement necessary to enable them to take control of their lives and make positive decisions, furthering them along the road to independence.

Our building in Crimea Road houses Step 1 and Step 2 accommodation |
We offer accommodation in four steps which provide a structured and progressive path towards independence:
-
Step 1 - Direct access emergency accommodation with support available 24/7, for those with a high level of needs
-
Step 2 - Accommodation and 24/7 support for those that require it, but with a greater level of independence than at Step 1
-
Step 3 - Semi-independent flats, but with support still available
-
Step 4 - Single flats dispersed throughout the locality, with access to support as needed
Each stage offers different levels of supervision and independence designed to enable the young person to develop their levels of independence as they move through the projects.
In addition we also run a Supported Lodgings Scheme, which run along similar lines to foster care and are for young people aged 16 or over who are leaving local authority care.
Our Accommodation Services provide much more than the basic needs of food and shelter.
They provide:-
-
A stable, safe and secure environment
-
Support and guidance from staff
-
Training and development opportunities as required
-
Peer support
Each young person who comes into any of our Accommodation services is treated as an individual and is offered ongoing support and guidance. They are expected to respect his/herself, as well as fellow residents and staff, and to attend appropriate Training service sessions, and/or attend school or college, or be in employment.
