Step by Step is a successful charity based in Aldershot with a 20-year track record of progressing local young people aged 16 to 25 from homelessness - and the associated problems - into independent living by offering a range of accommodation and support services.

Foyer Manager
Hours of work: 40 hours per week (full-time)
Salary: NJC 36–41 (£30,011 - £34,549)
Benefits: 25 days pa holiday increasing to 30 days over 5 years; optional contributory stakeholder pension.
Normal work location: Crimea Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 1UD
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Your job will be to lead and manage the Foyer service, ensuring that the accommodation teams deliver the most effective outcomes for the young people progressing through all stages of our accommodation and training services.
You will already have demonstrable skills in leading and managing teams to meet challenging targets and working with a broad spectrum of staff and clients. As well as management experience, you will have good knowledge of housing legislation and effective rent
management practice.

Fundraising and Marketing Manager
Hours of work: 40 hours per week (full-time)
Salary: NJC 34–39 (£28,636 - £32,800)

Reporting to: Operations Manager
You will develop strategies for fundraising that seek to maximise our income generation while minimising costs. You will manage and lead our dedicated team of three part-time community fundraisers, running events and appeals to raise our profile and income with the general public, organisations, groups, associations and corporations. In addition you will be responsible for directly bidding for funding from sources such as trust funds, local authorities and grant giving bodies. You will also be responsible for Step by Step's marketing and publicity, overseeing all press releases, newsletters and publications, as well as key online communications such as our website and social networking media.
Your experience will include fundraising and/or sales and marketing, including the development and delivery of successful fundraising strategies. You will, of course, have excellent interpersonal, leadership and communications skills and be able to demonstrate a creative and pro-active approach to delivering a high quality service.

Quality Assurance and HR Officer
Hours of work: 24 hours per week

Tenancy Support Worker
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, 12-month contract
Salary: NJC 23–28 (£20,198 - £23,708)

Reporting to: Foyer Manager
This job includes the continued development of partnerships within private sector housing, and enabling our clients to access this accommodation with a tailored support package which meets their needs and that of the local community. You will also provide tenancy related support to landlords and tenants and landlords, including support with housing benefit and other related benefits.
You will have some experience of providing tenancy-related support and of working with disadvantaged young people to motivate them. Knowledge of issues affecting young people and causes of youth homelessness and a broad grasp of housing legislation including welfare and tenancies is also desirable.
