Step by Step is a successful charity based in Aldershot with a 17-year track record of progressing local young people aged 16 to 25 from homelessness - and the associated problems - into independent living by offering a range of accommodation and support services. We are a forward-thinking, innovative and caring organisation which aims to be one of the best in its field. Relief Support Worker (Accommodation Services) Hours of work: As required Salary: £8-87 per hour, with an additional sleep-over rate of £48-71 or £40-55 dependent upon age Location: Aldershot Step by Step provides emergency accommodation at Emmaus House and move-on accommodation at two properties in 61/63 Victoria Road, Aldershot. Our aim is to provide appropriate levels of support for our young people so that they can be re-integrated back into the community. Reporting directly to the Accommodation Service Team Leader, you will work as part of a team with other Support Workers and volunteers, who will support your training and development. The job will often involve occasional lone working where you will be expected to show drive, enthusiasm, initiative and a commitment to the client group and the ability to develop the skills required to be able to work unsupervised. We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for working with vulnerable young people, in groups and as individuals and who has a positive, ‘can do’ attitude towards maximising the outcomes achieved by our clients.
