Taking a break? Retired? Got some free time?
Looking for something worthwhile to do?
We should work together...
Although financial giving is obviously essential to our operation, giving your time can be just as beneficial to Step by Step.
As part of a major expansion of our support services we are looking for a number of willing and committed volunteers. Many of these roles don't require highly-skilled people: some experience of life and a real desire to make a difference are the main requirements.
For example, if you like meeting people and organising events, we have plenty of opportunities in our community fund-raising tasks. On the other hand, we can also use people with experience and skills from business. Whatever you can offer, we'd be delighted to hear from you, and can promise you a fascinating and fulfilling time.
You only need commit to what you can do - it is voluntary, after all! One day a week, a few days a month, we'll work with you to fit in with your other interests and responsibilities.
Some of our opportunities would be ideal for a recently-retired person, but most are suitable for any age. In some cases job-sharing would be appropriate.
Why bother?
Those who do commit to volunteering get a great sense of reward and personal satisfaction from knowing that their efforts on our behalf, whether it be by doing fundraising, administrative work, maintenance, or anything else, are making a valuable contribution to the lives of the young people who are our clients. Not only that, you will meet some really interesting people, make new friends, and have a lot of fun into the bargain!
Step by Step is based in Aldershot and runs a range of accommodation and support services for homeless young people.
Read more in our 'How YOU can help local homeless young people' leaflet...
Have a look below and see if there's anything you could do to help homeless people and others facing difficulties...
And when you've found something that interests you, give us a call on 01252 312364, or email info@stepbystep.org.uk.
Thanks for your support!
