Donated items

Gifts in Kind

Often gifts in kind, in the form of donated items, are as valuable to the young people we're working with as the funding we receive.

Young people accessing our services include some who do not yet have an income with which to support themselves and so the following items are always gratefully received:

Non-perishable foods:

We receive generous donations at Harvest and Christmas, both of which are most welcome. However, we do like to be able to offer emergency food packages as required so these items are of value all year round.

  • Cereal bars
  • Nuts
  • Dried fruit
  • Cartons of juice
  • Cans of drink
  • Bottles of water
  • Cake Bars
  • Crisps
  • Biscuits
  • Crackers
  • Rice Cakes
  • Chocolate
  • Snack pots or anything you can just add water to - anything in a pot!
  • Mugshots
  • Long life milk
  • Pots of jelly or fruits

Toiletries

Being able to have a wash or shower, even if you have no home of your own to go to is essential, especially when you are looking for a job. We hold emergency supplies but these always need topping up.

Bed linen

Young people moving out of Step by Step into more independent living are often still very short on belongings. Single sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases give them the basics to start them off. These items must be brand new in packaging to comply with fire regulations.

Kitchen equipment

Kitchen basics such as sealable food containers, utensils, bowls, pots and pans, baking dishes and cutlery are all welcome.

If you can help with any of the items above please contact:

Thank you!
