Nursery Challenge - The Great Purple Pitter Patter

THE GREAT PURPLE PITTER PATTER

Here at Step by Step we work with young people to support them in realising their ambitions and putting in place the steps they need to take to reach their full potential.

We would like to ask you to hold a 'Great Purple Pitter Patter' in aid of Step by Step. You are sure to have a great day whilst raising funds to support young people going through hard times to build a brighter future for themselves.

GREAT PURPLE PITTER PATTER

Go colourful and paint everyone's feet purple then off they go walking along a piece of paper or set a short distance for the little ones to pitter patter and ask people to sponsor them.
Ask parents/carers to join in to make it a real family event

WHY

Because 1 in 100 young people in the UK are now expected to experience homelessness (Young People Count 2016) and we need your help to raise funds to enable us to support them.

Young People. Hard Times. Bright Futures.

You and your nursery, childminding group, pre-school can help young people get through hard times, including homelessness, and build brighter futures for themselves

RESOURCES

We can provide you with balloons and collection tins/buckets as well as a dedicated fundraiser to support you.

FUNDRAISING

Ask people to pay £1 to take part.  You could also have some other activities on the day to raise extra money.  Some ideas to get you started:

  • Cake Sale
  • Toy Sale
  • Craft activity - get some cheap canvasses and the children can put their foot prints on one for their parents to take home, charge enough to cover the cost of the canvas and a donation to Step by Step - a local craft shop might donate the canvasses to you if you ask
  • Tombola

Thank you for raising money for Step by Step. Now it is time to get it to us so that we can put it to use, working hard to support young people!

If you have any queries, please contact Jenny Jackson on 01252 346112 or jenny.jackson@stepbystep.org.uk

Thank you for supporting Step By Step. We can't wait to hear your fundraising stories!
