100 Hole Golf Marathon

Monday 6th June 2016

On Wednesday 22nd June 4 golfers are taking to the course at Royal Ascot Golf Club to take on the challenge of One Hundred Holes of Golf each in a Day.

One member of the team is our Head of Business Services, Ian Stephen.

100 Hole Golf Marathon
So what will their day look like?

An early start at 4am, 26 miles of walking with their golf clubs and no caddy, buggy or trolley and around 450 shots each being taken.

A team of volunteers from the club will be on hand to help with ball spotting, handing out refreshments and more as the 4 golfers take on the challenge.

Ian will be playing off the Yellow Tee's for the day.  He is aiming to complete the first 91 holes by about 4pm.

The final 9 holes will be played during the regular Wednesday night 'Supper Club' competition, this will conclude at 8pm.  So a long day, a big challenge and all to raise much needed funds for Step by Step.

If you would like to sponsor Ian please visit his Just Giving page and help him and the team reach their fundraising target of £10,000 (including Basepoint Camberley up to the value of £2,000)
