Basepoint Camberley Match £9850
Tuesday 4th April 2017
Basepoint Camberley have matched £9850, the equivalent to accommodation and support for 140 young people, during a second year of partnering with Step by Step.
Throughout the year, Step by Step and Basepoint combined their efforts to double funds raised from events large and small including supermarket collections, a 24 hour golf marathon, Step by Step's flagship Sleepout event, and the brand new Jingle Jog.
Our Head of Fundraising, Jessica Oliver, said "We have felt so fortunate to know that for a range of events in the past year, Basepoint were going to be matching the community's generous donations pound for pound. Their support has been invaluable and enabled us to accommodate 140 young people at risk of becoming homeless."
Heidi Kruger, Centre Manager of Basepoint Camberley said "It has been wonderful to be partnered with such an amazing charity. They do so much to support young people in the area who are in need by not only providing them with immediate shelter but with skills to enable them in the future."
Basepoint Business Centres are not run like ordinary centres. As well as providing a range of flexible serviced and managed offices, virtual offices and serviced meeting rooms, they aim to build small to medium size business communities that add value to the areas they are in, through charity partnerships such as this.
Basepoint is owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant making charity. Each Basepoint Centre nominates a local charity to which The ACT Foundation match funds any money raised by the chosen Charity, up to a maximum of £10,000.
