On moving into Supported Lodgings Danielle was 17, pregnant, and lacking in confidence to do anything or make any decisions herself.
She left a year later maintaining her place at college. Danielle has since passed her driving test and is now driving. She has grown so much in confidence, believing in herself, which has helped her to become a great mum to her one year old son. Danielle became very independent during the year, has now moved on into her own flat with her son, and is doing really well.
“I’m so glad I had the help from Supported Lodgings because it helps make you independent and, being a young mum, I feel I had the support whenever I needed it.”
You can support young people like Danielle if you have a double spare room in your home and would like to be there for a young mum learning to be a mum to their own baby. Find out more about getting involved in our Suported Lodgings by clicking the Spare Room button below.
