Step by Step has a role for an Accounts Team Member to join the existing friendly finance team.

It has been an exciting time for the accounts department. There have been several new developments and changes including an upgraded system.

The exact role responsibilities will be discussed at the interview and could be adjusted to suit the successful candidate depending on their strengths.

As we are a small organisation you would be expected to undertake a range of accounting activities, so it is important to us that our new joiner is flexible in their role activities. The role is full time or could be two part time people.

What is Step by Step looking for?

  • Excellent IT skills including Excel (pivot tables, HLOOKUP's VLOOKUP’s).
  • Experience using Sage 200 or a similar accounting package.
  • Ideally some accountancy experience within the Charity sector.
  • Ideally you would have a recognised Professional Accountancy Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or a degree in Accountancy and Finance. Fully Qualified or Part Qualified. But if you think you would be suitable based upon some other reason, please let us know.

So where is the role-based and what about flexible working?

The role is a hybrid role based in Aldershot town centre with 40- 60% of time being worked from home, which will allow for a mix of office and home working.

Step by Step was incorporated in 1989, so have a long history of working and supporting young people.
