Community Fundraising Officer, Aldershot

  • Salary: Circa £27,000 DOE. 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Step by Step support young people who are going through hard times and facing homelessness. We take a unique step by step approach, providing accommodation, personal development opportunities and specialist support services, to empower young people with brighter futures.

Each year we work with over 1,500 young people aged 11– 25 and we have an excellent reputation amongst our funders and within the sector. It is an exciting time for the charity as our services has recently expanded to cover six counties.

We are looking for a highly-motivated and enthusiastic person who is passionate about supporting young people, to join our busy fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Officer. You will be responsible for raising income from community groups to support the work of Step by Step.

The ideal candidate will need to be confident in building new relationships and encouraging support from community groups such as schools, churches, and golf clubs to raise funds, as well as maintaining existing support to secure future income. You will be account managing a number of established relationships as Step by Step have been raising funds from the community for many years.

The role will include some evening and weekend work. A full UK driving license and access to your own car is a requirement of this role.
