Who are we?
Step by Step (SBS) passionately believes in supporting young people who are going through hard times. Our unique step by step approach, providing accommodation, personal development opportunities and specialist support services, identifies and fulfils aspirations.
Each year we work with over 1,500 young people aged 11–25 and our Support Worker play a pivotal role in empowering young people and preventing homelessness.
The Step by Step team are positive, dynamic, professional, and committed to empowering young people to fulfil their full potential.
What would you be doing?
As a support worker, you will have the responsibility for ensuring that young people accessing the service receive both opportunity and advocacy and that they can develop their skills and talents in a manner that empowers them to go on and access employment and/or educational facilities, whilst continuing to take on more responsibilities and to achieve and maintain independence.
What is Step by Step looking for?
Applicants should have experience of working with young people and should demonstrate both empathy and knowledge of the issues which often result in adversity.
You should be available to work shifts and there will be a rota. We are happy to chat this through with interested parties.
