Step by Step Hit the Road for Foster Care Fortnight
Our fostering team are embarking on a two-week tour of towns and cities across the South East for Foster Care Fortnight. This is a chance to celebrate the incredible role foster carers play in changing lives, and raise awareness of the urgent and continual need for new foster carers.
Step by Step Fostering’s Registered Manager, Sarah Faulkner, and Supervising Social Worker, Sue Collier, will be exhibiting at various locations (see the list below) between 10th and 22nd May,
Foster Care Fortnight, organised by The Fostering Network, is the largest annual awareness campaign within the fostering community. This year’s theme is the Power of Relationships, because at the heart of every fostering journey are the connections that make all the difference.
Step by Step Fostering is unique among fostering agencies – the funds it raises go into supporting other Step by Step services, helping further young people, including those facing homelessness.

- Winchester Market, Winchester on Thursday 15th May from 9am to 5pm
- Broad Street, Reading on Friday 16th May from 12pm to 5.30pm
- Weymouth Sea Front Walk on Saturday 17th May from 12pm to 3pm
- Cheese and Chilli Festival, Christchurch on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May
- Cascades, Portsmouth on Tuesday 20th May from 9am to 6pm
- Asda Superstore, Eastleigh on Wednesday 21st May from 9am to 4pm.
- New Forest Heritage Centre, Lyndhurst on Thursday 22nd May from 10am to 5pm
