We are delighted to have received an incredible £225,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation. This three-year funding will go towards a range of specialist support services for young people, including wellbeing, recovery and family mediation.
The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-making trust that supports a range of charities across the UK. It is interested in supporting organisations that offer effective solutions for helping those most in need in society. The awarding of this grant is fantastic recognition of the work Step by Step does in changing young lives.
This funding will go towards key support services that are designed to improve life chances and empower young people to move on from homelessness for good. These services include Step by Step’s Wellbeing and Recovery Workers – new support for young people that we are introducing this year.
"We are absolutely delighted to have such generous support from the Garfield Weston Foundation,” said Clare Hutchinson, Trust and Grants Manager at Step by Step. “We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to the Trustees and staff. This grant will really transform our wraparound services, giving us the stability that we need to support young people who are going through tough times now and in the future."
