It is thanks to the hard work and commitment of our staff, the generosity of our supporters, and the determination of the young people that we were able to achieve so much.
While we of course celebrate this success, the issue of youth homelessness is more pressing than ever and we intend to achieve even more over the coming year. As always, our mission is not just to prevent homelessness in the short term, but to empower young people with the skills, confidence and self-belief to work towards a brighter future.

James is a trustee for Step by Step, but his involvement with the charity started 10 years ago when he found himself homeless, abandoned by his alcoholic mother. He shares his story and just how he has come so far.
