We're excited to announce a new partnership with Citizens Advice Rushmoor, bringing specialist advice directly to young people using our Launch service.
As part of the partnership, Citizens Advice Rushmoor will base an adviser within Step by Step – starting off at our Aldershot headquarters – offering tailored, independent advice to young people on issues including housing, debt, benefits, employment and financial pressures.
The collaboration strengthens support for young people who may already be facing housing insecurity, emotional wellbeing challenges, or barriers to education and employment. By co-locating services, the partnership removes the need for young people to navigate multiple agencies and ensures they can access the right help at the right time, in a familiar and trusted environment.
For Citizens Advice Rushmoor, the partnership provides an opportunity to reach and support more young people, a group who can otherwise find it difficult to access advice services that traditionally work with adults.
Calum Stewart, CEO of Citizens Advice Rushmoor, said:
“We’re really pleased to be launching this partnership with Step by Step. As organisations that share a long-standing commitment to supporting our local community in and around Aldershot, it’s exciting to be working together in this way. Young people facing housing insecurity, financial pressure, or challenges around work, benefits, and wellbeing often have to navigate complex systems at the very point when life already feels overwhelming.
"This partnership brings specialist, independent advice directly alongside trusted youth support, making it easier for young people to get the right help at the right time. Ultimately, this collaboration is about giving young people clarity, confidence, and the tools they need to build stability and move forward with their lives.”
Debbie Moreton, Step by Step CEO, added:
“We’re delighted to be developing a partnership with Citizens Advice Rushmoor as part of our Launch service. This collaboration will allow young people to access specialist advice around issues such as housing, debt management and health-related benefits directly from our site. By working together, we’re removing barriers and making it easier for young people to get the right support at the right time, without being passed between services.”
Step by Step's Launch service supports young people to access accommodation, improve wellbeing, and move towards education, training or employment. The new partnership builds on our commitment to providing practical, joined-up support that helps prevent youth homelessness before crisis point.
