Take a Stand Against Youth Homelessness This Christmas

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new festive fundraising appeal – Take a Stand This Christmas.

While many of us gather in warmth and comfort this Christmas, there are young people facing challenges no one their age should have to - from family breakdown and unsafe living conditions to emotional isolation and homelessness.

But they’re not giving up. These young people are showing strength, courage, and the will to build a better future.

We’re calling on individuals, community groups and companies to donate to our Take a Stand This Christmas appeal and support brave young people on their journey from homelessness to a brighter future.

In previous years, our Open Doors appeal has been a huge success – this year we want to take things up a level and, with your help, have even more of an impact on young lives.

“We are excited to introduce our Take a Stand This Christmas - a bold new chapter in our festive appeal,” shares Anda Chiu, Head of Fundraising. “It’s an invitation to stand with us, to believe in change, and to help create brighter futures. Every gift, every gesture, brings real change to those who need it most. Your support can turn hope into reality."

Your support offers not a handout, but a lifeline – empowering young people to strive towards a future in which they can truly shine and become heroes of their own story.

We welcome the Government announcement of a new comprehensive homelessness strategy, including £3.5 billion investment over the next three years.

But its success will depend upon how much it offers a joined-up approach and a clear route from homelessness to independent living.
