Step by Step partners with purpose-driven businesses to create meaningful impact for young people — while offering opportunities for visibility, loyalty and pride for your brand where it matters most.
We believe that great partnerships work both ways. When your business chooses to partner with Step by Step, you:
Step by Step supports young people aged 11–25 across Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset, Wiltshire, West Berkshire and West Sussex. With your support, we can reach even further.
Our services include:
Take a stand against youth homelessness. Your business has the power to open doors for young people — both literally and figuratively.
We work with companies of all sizes to build partnerships that fit your goals, culture and capacity. Whether you're a small business or a national brand, there’s a way to get involved.
Your support can directly fund services that prevent and combat youth homelessness, transforming young lives.
Make Step by Step your Charity of the Year or build a longer-term relationship. Together we’ll co-create a plan that energises your team, connects with your customers, and delivers measurable outcomes.
Unite your team around a shared cause with fundraising challenges, team events or matched giving. We can help with ideas, come along to give talks, and provide banners, collection boxes, mobile donation tools, logos, imagery and more. We'll also celebrate your achievements across our social channels.
Add purpose to your products or promotions. Whether it’s donating a percentage of sales or creating a campaign together, we’ll help you engage audiences in a way that feels authentic and impactful.
Support a specific programme, project or event and gain visibility through branded materials, media, and joint storytelling. Options range from sponsoring a flat or contributing to a service that supports young people, to being part of our headline campaigns.
If your team has professional skills they'd like to offer, such as marketing, finance or training, or would like to support through team volunteering days like gardening or decorating, we’d be happy to explore how this could help. While not a core need, some of our services have benefited from time-limited practical input. That said, if you're in a position to offer funding support, that will always go further.
See our article - Why corporate donations go further than volunteering.
Offer your employees the chance to make a regular difference. Payroll giving schemes are easy to set up and a great way to show your commitment to community impact.
If your company has a corporate trust or grant-making programme and Step by Step aligns with your values, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you manage a large corporate foundation or can offer grants of just a few hundred pounds, your funding can directly support services that prevent and combat youth homelessness, transforming young lives.
Not sure where to start? We’ll help shape a partnership that’s right for you.
Working with us is straightforward, meaningful and fully supported. Here's what to expect:
Our partnerships team will guide you every step of the way.
Yes, whether it’s a shared campaign or product tie-in, we can create branded assets that highlight your support and help you stand out. However, it’s important to note that heavily branded arrangements may affect how your contribution is treated for tax purposes. In some cases, HMRC may view this as a payment rather than a donation, which could impact your tax relief and our charity trading limits. We’re happy to share guidance so your finance or accounts team can seek the right advice.
We love to show the impact of your support. Depending on the service, we can provide tailored updates, impact reports or opportunities to hear directly from staff and young people. For some partners, we offer scheduled visits to our accommodation services — though as these are young people’s homes, visits are limited and carefully managed. We’ll always work with you to find meaningful ways of seeing the difference your support is making.
Absolutely. We welcome staff volunteering days — from painting and gardening to fundraising support, leaflet distribution, and event help. These activities can boost morale, provide a real sense of purpose, and make a genuine difference to the young people we support. Where possible, we aim to deliver these as part of a broader partnership to ensure your team’s time aligns with the needs of our services and the environments that support young people.
Yes, we’re a UK-registered charity (number 900308) and Ofsted-registered supported accommodation provider. We’ve worked with businesses, councils and funders for over 35 years.
You’ll get a named contact who will get to know your organisation, understand your goals, and be there to answer questions and provide support throughout. We’ll provide toolkits, updates, social media shout-outs, and tailored information to help you get the most from the partnership. Whether you're planning a fundraiser, launching a campaign, or just want to check in, our team will be with you every step of the way. We want your experience to be positive, personal and rewarding.
Absolutely. Many businesses like to fund a specific service, location or even an element of a programme. For example, Croudace Homes sponsored one of our Supported Independence Flats. We’ll help you match your goals with real impact, in a way that’s meaningful and sustainable.
If you’re looking for a partnership that’s personal, purposeful and creates real change, we’d love to talk. Together, we can:
