Our volunteers are everyday heroes. They keep things running behind the scenes, help us raise vital funds, and support young people to build brighter futures. Every task, from organising paperwork to helping at events, plays a role in making change happen.
We understand that life is busy. That’s why we offer flexible roles that fit around work, family and other commitments. You don’t need experience to start - just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Full training and ongoing guidance are provided every step of the way.
Visit our Jobs and Opportunities page to see the latest volunteering roles. These are updated regularly and often include roles in admin, fundraising, supporting at events, and more.
Each opportunity listing has clear instructions on how to apply. If you're unsure which role suits you best, reading more about what volunteering involves can help you decide.
For most roles, you'll be asked to complete an application form. Some positions require a DBS check and two references, especially those involving young people or sensitive information. This is part of our Safer Recruitment commitment to protecting young people.
Once everything is in place, you’ll receive an induction and any necessary training. Then you can start making a difference, knowing you have a team supporting you at every step.
That’s absolutely fine. Many of our volunteers were new to volunteering when they joined us. We’re here to make sure you feel welcome, confident and supported. Whether you want to try it out occasionally or make volunteering a regular part of your week, we’ll help you find the right fit.
What kinds of volunteer roles are available? We have a variety of roles including admin, reception, fundraising, gardening, decorating, and event support. You can explore them all on our Jobs and Opportunities page.
Can I volunteer if I work full time? Yes. Many of our roles can be done in the evenings or on weekends.
Where are volunteering roles available? We operate across Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset, Wiltshire, West Berkshire and West Sussex. We'll do our best to find a role near you.
Do I need a DBS check? Some roles require a DBS check and references, depending on the nature of the work. We'll explain everything clearly during the application process.
If you’re wondering how to get started as a volunteer, you’ve already taken the first step. Visit our Jobs and Opportunities page to explore current roles and apply today.
