Could you be a Step by Step Community Hero?
We’re calling on community champions, fundraising dynamos, and awareness warriors to join our Step by Step New Forest Community Champions. Together, we can:
- Be the Voice – Speak up for young people in the New Forest who need a safe place to call home and/or support.
- Be the Connector – Forge powerful partnerships with local businesses and community groups.
- Be the Fundraiser – Plan exciting events and campaigns to support vital services, with guidance and support from our dedicated Charity Champions, who will help you every step of the way.
- Be the Advocate – Spread the word and recruit more heroes to our cause.
- Be the Game-Changer – Help shape the future for New Forest’s young people.

We need dedicated volunteers to take on the following key positions - please find full role descriptions in the Downloads section of this page.
- Community Hero Lead/Chair: Lead and inspire the team, ensuring goals are achieved and the mission stays on track.
- Treasurer: Oversee financial activities, track income and expenditure, and liaise with the Charity Champion.
- Co-ordinator/Secretary: Organise meetings, keep records, and ensure clear communication within the team
- Community Heroes: We also need passionate individuals to join as Community Heroes, supporting fundraising, event planning, and outreach efforts.
