We’re excited to be part of Rushmoor Pride 2026, joining the community in celebrating diversity, visibility, and the strength of LGBTQ+ young people.
You’ll find Step by Step at our stall during the event, and we’ll also be taking part in the parade as we stand in solidarity with the young people we support across our region.
Why Pride is important to Step by Step
Too many LGBTQ+ young people face homelessness as a result of family breakdown, rejection, or unsafe living situations. These experiences can leave them feeling isolated and without the support networks they need.
At Step by Step, we are committed to providing safe accommodation, practical guidance, and emotional support so young people can regain stability and move forward with confidence. Pride is an opportunity for us to both celebrate and raise awareness, recognising progress while acknowledging the challenges that still exist.
At Rushmoor Pride, we will be:

Highlighting the realities of youth homelessness and its impact on LGBTQ+ young people

Sharing ways you can get involved; from becoming a Supported Lodgings host or foster carer to donating or championing our work

Creating a welcoming, positive space where young people feel seen, valued, and empowered
