EVENTS Events Supported Lodgings and Fostering Coffee Morning - Reading

24th July 2026

Could you make a difference to a young person in Reading?

Join Step by Step for a friendly coffee morning at The Rising Sun Arts Centre to learn more about becoming a foster carer or providing Supported Lodgings for a young person who needs support and stability.

This informal event is designed to help you explore your options in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you’re just starting to consider fostering or hosting, or simply want to ask a few questions, our team will be there to guide you.

At the event you can:

  • Speak to people already supporting young people through fostering or Supported Lodgings
  • Learn about the different types of support available
  • Find out more about the training, guidance and financial support Step by Step provides
  • Enjoy tea, coffee and conversation in a no-pressure setting

There’s no commitment, just an opportunity to find out more and see whether this could be the right path for you.
