With the Step by Step Sleep Out now only three weeks away, we’re starting to get truly excited for the event.
But it’s not just our team that is passionate about Sleep Out, and the opportunity to raise vital funds and awareness – past participants have shared with us their thoughts on the experience. Here’s what some of them told us…
“What an incredible night! It was an honour to be part of Sleep Out 2024 alongside 120 amazing individuals, all coming together to support such an important cause.”
“It was a night that helps people who don't usually think about issues like this understand how hard it can be for those who are less fortunate.”
“This was a very good reminder of the conditions many young people find themselves in. I was very aware that I was part of a group, not sleeping out on my own, that I had access to food, drink and toilet whenever I wanted it.”

We welcome the PM's announcement. The funding matters, the urgency matters, and a government willing to say plainly that no one should sleep in a doorway is good news.
But if we are serious about ending rough sleeping, we cannot only wait until someone is already on the streets. We have to stop them getting there in the first place.
