Step by Step Shortlisted for Children and Young People Now Awards

We are delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the Children & Young People Now Awards 2026.

Step by Step were shortlisted in the Children & Young People’s Charity Award, based on our work transforming the lives of young people facing homelessness. It is our unique, joined-up model of accommodation, mental wellbeing and life skills services that set us apart from other charities in the sector.

The awards showcase innovation and outstanding practice across the children’s services sector. They are an opportunity to celebrate the incredible work of the organisations and charities that support young people across the UK, as well as raising awareness of the issues they serve to address.

Kelly Headen, Head of Services at Step by Step, commented: “We’re so proud to be on the shortlist alongside some truly inspiring organisations. This recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication of every one of our amazing team.”

Members of the Step by Step team will be attending the awards ceremony in November where the results will be announced. We’ll let you know how we get on!
