EVENTS Farnham Lions Cider & Sausage Festival 2026

15th August 2026

We are looking forward to attending the Farnham Lions Cider & Sausage Festival. You can join us at Gostrey Meadow in Farnham for a day of food, drink and community celebration.

You will find Step by Step at our stall on the day, where our team will be on hand throughout.

Why local events like this matter to us

Youth homelessness can affect any community, including our own. Events like the Cider & Sausage Festival give us the chance to connect directly with local people, many of whom don't yet know what Step by Step does or how they could get involved.

At the festival, we will be:

  • Raising awareness of youth homelessness in the local area
  • Sharing information about Supported Lodgings and fostering, and how local people can get involved

Come and say hello

Whether you're there for the cider, the sausages or the family activities, we would love for you to come and say hello at our stall. Our team will be on hand to chat, answer questions, and share how you can support a young person facing homelessness.

Eighteen Isn't Cheaper

We're calling for Universal Credit parity for young people leaving care

Driving Change 18 Isnt Cheaper Stevie Care Leaver Story

Our short film, 18 Isn’t Cheaper, brings together lived experience, academic research and policy insight to show why the Universal Credit system leaves care leavers aged 18 to 24 at a significant disadvantage.

Hear directly from young people, their hosts and the professionals supporting them.
