This year, we are kicking off our Christmas fundraising appeal by taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. This means that donations made between 2nd and 9th December can be doubled, at no extra cost to the donor or charity.
The Big Give is a match funding platform, bringing together charities and the philanthropists who want to support them. By taking part in their Christmas Challenge, Step by Step can receive additional match funding during Big Give Week.
For donors, this means they can have twice the impact on young people facing homelessness. Therefore, we’re encouraging anyone who wants to give to support young people, to do so via our Big Give page.
Youth homelessness is on the rise, with a recent study reporting that 172,420 children in England are living in temporary accommodation. Step by Step is fighting youth homelessness and its causes, providing safe places to live and the support to move on to a brighter future.
“We’re excited to be part of the Big Give for the first time this Christmas,” said Anda Chiu, Heading of Fundraising at Step by Step. “It’s an incredible opportunity for donations to go further and do more for the young people who rely on our services. I urge anyone who is thinking about giving to Step by Step, to take action during Big Give Week.”
