We are delighted to announce the launch of Step by Step Fostering.
This new company is an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) that will operate in six counties across the South of England. It will find stable and loving homes for children and young people aged 11 to 18, specialising in those with a high level of need that may struggle to find a foster placement elsewhere. What’s more, all excess funds will be fed back to the Step by Step charity to help support even more young people.
Debbie Moreton, CEO, commented: “Seeing my idea of a Step by Step fostering agency come to life fills me with immense pride. It is a powerful step forward in supporting further young people, and in providing additional income to the parent charity.”
Kelly Headen, Head of Fostering and Supported Lodgings, said: “Hugely exciting times for Step by Step and such a significant development for our charity. Running our own IFA means we can offer additional safe, secure and caring family homes for younger children to thrive.”
Fostering Registered Manager, Sarah Luke, added: “I am proud to be part of Step by Step Fostering. This opportunity will allow us to continue to support even more vulnerable young people allowing them to thrive and create their own future circle of care.”
Step by Step Fostering recently passed Ofsted registration, ensuring it meets stringent criteria and puts children and young people at the heart of everything it does. We couldn’t be more excited about the fantastic opportunity it represents.
