We are excited to announce the purchase of a new property in the New Forest, which will become Step by Step Foyer accommodation. The house in Totton will accommodate four young people at any one time.

A shortage of rental properties means that there is fierce competition for the few places available, and many landlords are taking advantage of this by inviting bids to rent their properties. This is pricing young people out of the market, particularly those already facing challenging personal circumstances.
Introducing Launch – Advice and Guidance for Young People
We are delighted to announce that our new Launch service is live, ready to support young people with early intervention advice, information and signposting. Launch provides information and guidance on a range of issues, including housing and homelessness.

We were honoured to receive a visit from HRH The Countess of Wessex. Her Royal Highness was given a tour of our Aldershot accommodation to mark the launch of Step by Step Fostering Ltd.
Scouts Show Community Spirit
We are fortunate to be supported by some fantastic groups in the communities we work in. 2nd Copythorne Scouts held a fundraising sleep out, while 1st Purbrook Scouts collected donations for our Havant Foyer.

Garfield Weston Foundation Helps Change Young Lives
We are delighted to have received an incredible £225,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation. This three-year funding will go towards a range of specialist support services for young people, including wellbeing, recovery and family mediation.
Universal Credit Cut Could Increase Homelessness
Step by Step has joined over 40 other homelessness charities in signing a letter to Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, expressing their concern at the cut to Universal Credit and urging that an adequate safety net is put in place.
