Step by Step Challenge Rent Rises for Young People
The government recently introduced a cap in rent rises for social housing. However, this cap did not apply to Supported Housing, of which Step by Step is a provider. We've worked hard to advocate for young people and challenge rent rises of more than 50% by some landlords.
Hong Kong Delegates Visit Step by Step
Representatives from a number of Hong Kong charities visited Step by Step’s Aldershot foyer. They wanted to find out about the work we do, our specialist services and how we are funded. The aim was to gain insights that could be put into practice back home.

We are delighted to report that Sarah Johnson has been awarded Volunteer of the Year Award at the West Berkshire Council Community Champion Awards. Sarah is a host for our Supported Lodgings service, offering an emergency bed for young people in need of immediate help.

Army Golf Club Go the Distance
The Army Golf Club have raised a fantastic £17, 933 to support our work. Club Captains Tena McMachan and Kevin Gurney chose Step by Step as their Captains’ Charity of the Year and fundraised throughout the duration of 2022.
Open Doors 2022 Was Biggest Yet
We are delighted to have raised over £70,000 in our latest Open Doors Christmas appeal. This fantastic total was our highest ever, and is testament to the kindness of our amazing supporters. The money raised will help change many young lives.
