Open Doors Appeal Most Successful Yet
Open Doors 2021 was our most successful Christmas appeal ever. A huge thank you to everyone who helped us raise over £60,000 – a fantastic amount that will support young people throughout the year.

Scouts Show Community Spirit
We are fortunate to be supported by some fantastic groups in the communities we work in. 2nd Copythorne Scouts held a fundraising sleep out, while 1st Purbrook Scouts collected donations for our Havant Foyer.

Garfield Weston Foundation Helps Change Young Lives
We are delighted to have received an incredible £225,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation. This three-year funding will go towards a range of specialist support services for young people, including wellbeing, recovery and family mediation.
Universal Credit Cut Could Increase Homelessness
Step by Step has joined over 40 other homelessness charities in signing a letter to Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, expressing their concern at the cut to Universal Credit and urging that an adequate safety net is put in place.

Not only is Rachel a Supported Lodgings Host for Step by Step, she’s also running the 2021 London Marathon for us. She hopes to raise funds to support vital services for young people going through hard times.

Sleep Out at Yours takes place on 8th October 2021, giving you the chance to support local young people facing homelessness by sleeping out for one night. Sleep out in your garden or anywhere else uncomfortable to help raise vital funds.
