Supported Lodgings Host Receives a Coronation Champions Award

We’re excited to reveal that Supported Lodgings Host Debbie Cornell was a recent recipient of a Coronation Champions Award. This is an incredible honour, awarded to only 500 people across the country. It recognises her amazing work in supporting dozens of young people who would otherwise be homeless.

With the support of Her Majesty The Queen Consort, and in conjunction with the Royal Voluntary Service, the Coronation Champions Awards were launched to recognise exceptional volunteers who have made a huge impact through their hard work and dedication.

Debbie was delighted to be one of the chosen few. She attended a celebration at Windsor Castle, followed by the spectacular Coronation Concert.

Debbie was even featured on BBC South Today as part of their coronation coverage.

The Awards attracted a number of famous ambassadors and supporters, including Dame Judi Dench, who commented: “The Coronation Champions Awards have been wonderful; it has been so lovely to hear the stories of incredible volunteers across the UK. Congratulations to all the award recipients, your compassion, generosity, and selflessness is so inspiring.”

Well done Debbie – this amazing honour is very well deserved!
