Our Brighter Futures appeal is back for 2024, once again asking individuals, companies and community groups to help fund our essential wraparound services.
Around two-thirds of young people arriving at Step by Step are not in education, training or employment. This means they often lack the life skills and opportunity to leave homelessness behind them and move on with their lives.
The Brighter Futures appeal helps fund training, wellbeing and practical support services. These make a lasting impact on helping young people into work, education and independent living.
Liam came to Step by Step when he was made homeless. We give him a safe place to live, but that was just the start of his journey.
Liam received tailored support to address his mental health needs, boost his confidence, and get back into work. Now Liam is positive about his future for the first time.
Young people need more than a roof over their heads if they are to achieve the brighter future they deserve. That’s where the Brighter Futures appeal helps make a difference.
Jenny Westmoreland, Fundraising Manager, explains: “Brighter Futures is a key appeal for Step by Step, helping to fund essential services that rely on voluntary income to continue to operate. It’s also a chance to highlight the additional ways we invest in a young person beyond providing accommodation.”
You can help us support more young people like Liam by donating to our Brighter Futures appeal. Please click here to find out more.
